TRAINING COURSE

 


Definition:

The BA Islamic Theologyprogram is a level in which the students learn the specialized courses and over completion of the program will be awarded Bachelor’s degree in BA Islamic Theology.

Program’s General Objectives:

Educating lecturers and experts in theological fields· Familiarizing students with the major Islamic theological schools· Familiarizing students with the major Islamic theological texts· Persuading students to carry out related research· Preparing talented students to continue their education to upper educational levels

Educational Goals and Policies:

Preparing students for moral and spiritual growth· Having more attention toward Islamic teachings when developing curriculum and syllabus· Developing the skills of research, teaching, and dissemination through acquiring necessary requirements· Developing the skill of reading the theological texts in Arabic language· Familiarity with Islamic law and principles of Islamic jurisprudence (in line with the program) · Attention to the courses needed in different regions through allocating some of the courses to the needs of these regions.

Program Structure

The BA Islamic Theology program is studied over 5 years due to combining the current seminary courses with specialized course units. The program can be maximized to 7 years according to the requirements. · The program is studied in semesters and based on credit hours · Each theoretical course is 16 hours and each practical one is 32 hours.

Importance and Necessity:

The necessity of learning the teachings of religion is clear for everyone especially due to the enemies’ doubts and the questions raised by the ones looking for the truth as well as the need for presenting religious teachings in different languages. The above issues have made it a necessity for the program to be arranged as an independent course of study so that the needs of the Islam world are achieved.

Role and Effectiveness:

On completion of the course, students are capable of doing research, dissemination, delivering lectures on theological fields and be effective in elevating original Islam and introducing it to the world and continue their education to achieve the highest levels in their field of study.
