TRAINING COURSE

Definitio: 

The MA Jurisprudence of Family is a specialized program through which the students deeply learn the relevant modules. After successful completion of the program students will receive MA in Jurisprudence of Family.    

Program’s Objective:

Instructing experts in the family-related issues

Training researcher in the field of jurisprudence of family

Instructing disseminator  Note: disseminators here means someone who delivers the message of religion

Utilizing jurisprudential decrees practically through provision of a family system according to Islamic viewpoint

Training talented students in order to answer today’s doubts and questions relevant to Islam’s system and criticizing other schools’ viewpoints and theories  - Preparing talented students to advance to doctoral level

Educational Goals and Objectives:

Expanding the domain of jurisprudential reasoning arguments into new discussions regarding jurisprudence of family

Expanding and deepening the arguments regarding jurisprudence of family via the method of deduction of family decrees

Preparing groundwork for training experts (lecturer, researcher, counselor) in the jurisprudence of family based on regional situations and needs

Making students capable of answering modern doubts and questions raised about Islam’s family decrees

Encouraging students to research (through allocating 30% of credit time to research works)

Developing a critical understating of materials of the program

Developing the skills of authoring, research, teaching and translating in the field of jurisprudence of family

Developing the skills of comprehending technical texts in the field of jurisprudence of family

Specializing in a module or a particular course

Allocating a minimum of 30% course units to seminary credits so as to strengthen the students’ scientific and seminary capabilities

Internalizing moral and spiritual issues in students

Having attention to regional needs of students

Admission:

Applicants are selected from graduates of BA Jurisprudence and Principles of Islamic Law

Note: applicants whose graduate degrees are different from the abovementioned program can apply provided that they pass the entrance exam and the prerequisite courses

Program structure:

Total credits are 98 studied over 8 semester

Theoretical and practical credits are 16 and 32 hours respectively and each theoretical credit unit is studied in 16 week semester

Students should present a dissertation in the end of the program which accounts for 4 credits

Role and effectiveness:

Since the graduates learn jurisprudence and family-related issues simultaneously, they can answer the doubts and questions nowadays raised about Islamic decrees; they can also analyze the other school’s viewpoints in terms of their family system.

The graduates are capable of disseminating internationally and becoming effective consultants for religious people and individuals interested in Islam.

The alumni can work in universities and expand the Imamiyeh’s affluent jurisprudence in the field of family.

Importance and Necessity:

The ever-increasing personal and social issues and the importance of provision of solutions for these issues have necessitated creating jurisprudence fields which should be developed based on the modern changes and this goal can be achieved only through specialization of Jurisprudence. One of the fields in the study of jurisprudence is the jurisprudence of family.Accordingly, the Al-Mustafa International University, as per its mission, has organized the specialized program concentrating on jurisprudence of family. It is hoped that through provision of the groundwork the field of jurisprudence could fulfill the jurisprudential requirements in the field of jurisprudence of family.
