TRAINING COURSE

 

 

Definition:

BA Farsi Language and Literature (exclusively designed for international applicants) is a program through which students learn Farsi language and become competent in Farsi literature. Over successful completion of the program, students will receive graduate certificate in Farsi Language and Literature.

Major Goals of program:

  • Becoming competent in four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing)

  • Learning Islamic teachings and Islamic sciences more thoroughly in Farsi language

  • Promoting and expanding the teachings of Ahl-e Byat in Farsi language

  • Instructing lecturer, researcher and disseminator in Farsi language

  • Improving students’ skills so that they can use Farsi texts and Farsi media more efficiently

  • Promoting and expanding Islamic Irans culture and its revolution

  • Developing students skills in research and translation in Farsi language

  • Teaching the history and culture of Iran to students from the past to the present

  • Preparing students to advance to upper levels of Farsi Language and Literature, Teaching Farsi Language and Literature

Educational Policies:

  • Designing curriculum and textbooks of Farsi language and literature while considering Islamic teachings and Quranic sciences in curriculum design

  • Applying high-tech methods in education and research studies

  • Conducting research during studies with a religious approach

  • Employing skillful and knowledgeable academics who are familiar with international students

  • Prioritizing clergymen and skillful seminary students in employment in the field of Farsi Language and Literature and Islamic Teaching

  • Not using medium language

  • Using viewpoints and seminary works done by religious leaders and scholars such as those of Imam Khomeini and the leader of Iran, Feidh Kashani, Abulfath Razi, and Ave Sina

  • Promoting unity and cohesion and team-working spirit, seminary spirit and Islamic ethics among students

  • Attention to students regional and national needs

Program structure and duration:

  • The program is full time lasting for 4 to 5 semesters. Students who study other programs can complete their programs in 5 to 6 semesters.

  • Each theoretical course is 16 hours and each practical course is 32 hours

  • Educational system and educational regulations are based on the bylaws approved by Al-Mustafa International University

Notes:

Students who pass some of the general or fundamental or any of the course units in other programs and their marks are equal to those of post-diploma or undergraduate programs can skip such course units after passing the official procedure.

Importance and necessity:

Historically, Farsi language and literature have delivered the great message of the divine prophets, religious, and mystical concepts and historical events of the nation and their cultural and ethical principles.

That is because Islamic culture has manifested in Farsi language and literature. Accordingly, we need to pave the way for interested applicants from across the world to learn Islamic teachings and Islamic sciences and also have the skills of using religion, mysticism, history and ethical values of the nation. To such an end, the great leader of Iran and other cultural leaders attempt to promote Farsi language across the world and introduce it to the world against the vast anti-Iran propaganda waged by the West. Learning language is also learning culture and creating cohesion between language and culture and the way they are transferred to students makes the program more effective.

Role and effectiveness:

Graduates of the program have the opportunity of having teaching chair in universities and academic institutes which run Farsi programs and disseminate the teachings of Ahl-e Bayt. They can also prepare for upper educational levels.

Notes:

  1. All the introductory course units are presented in one semester

  2. The course unit Teaching Introductory Farsi Language is presented in accordance to international students compatibility with Farsi language and can be passed in any of the schools and branches of Al-Mustafa University or certain academic institutes whose system is the same as Al-Mustafa University’s educational system

  3. Students who pass the course mentioned in clause 2 in any academic institute, can skip this course after passing official procedure.

Learning Irans intellectual schools coded as 21 (4 credits) is presented based on the following format: a: Introduction to Islamic beliefs and viewpoints coded as 1/21 (2 credits) b: Historical trend of Islamic religions in Iran coded as 2/21 (2 credits) Introduction to culture of Islamic Iran coded as 22 (4 credits) is presented based on the following formats: a. Introduction to the culture of Iran before Islam coded as 1/22 (2 credits) b. Introduction to culture of Islamic Iran coded as 2/22 (2 credits) According to regulation of Al-Mustafa International University, students shall write their dissertation after passing 75 credits.

1-32: One of the course units coded as (1/32, 2/32) is presented emphasizing on the poems of Rodaki and Kasaee and briefly Manuchehri and Farokhi. The score is calculated for 2 credits for 1/32 and 2/32 1-34: Lesson entitled Khagani is presented after lesson entitled Masud Sad 1-35: the course units coded as (1-35 and 2-35) are presented as the followings and their average score is calculated and used for 4-1 and score of 35-3 is calculated for 35-2 1-35: First section: Masnawi of Mowlawi 2-35: Second section: Mantiq Al-Tayr of Attar 3-35: Third section: Mystical poems of Hadiqat Sanaee
