TRAINING COURSE

 

Definition:

PhD Legal Jurisprudence is the highest level of education in the field of Legal Jurisprudence, which is presented in taught and research-based. Students pass a collection of in-depth academic activities and research studies and over successful completion of the program they are conferred PhD Legal Jurisprudence.

Program's major goals:

Learning deducing skills in the field and using such skills in the areas related to Legal Jurisprudence

Instructing researchers in the field of Legal Jurisprudence

Instructing lecturers to teach in local and international seminary schools and universities

Producing knowledge and expanding the field of Legal Jurisprudence

Making the field (Legal Jurisprudence) practical in order to design Islamic legal system

Providing academic support for Islam's legal system when compared with other legal systems and answering questions and challenges against Islam's legal system

Educational Policies:

Considering regional and national needs when designing the program

Providing academic support for the Jurisprudence of Ahl-e Bayt while considering proximity of Islamic religions

Applying a research-based approach

Applying a practical approach

Admission:

Applicants holding MA Legal Jurisprudence qualifications are qualified to apply for the program.

Note: students holding other academic qualifications are required to fulfill pre-requisite course units

Program duration:

Program's duration is five years (10 semesters) which can be extended for a maximum of one more year

40 per cent of the credits are presented based on research studies

There are a total of 80 credited units to be studied

Student are required to present a thesis calculated 18 credits

Theoretical and practical credits are 16 and 32 hours respectively

Importance and necessity:

The ever expansion of Jurisprudence and the new issues, social and individual needs and the need to answer questions and in order to adapt Jurisprudence field with the modern challenges have made it necessary to design and run PhD Legal Jurisprudence program.

 

Role and effectiveness:

The graduates are knowledgeable in the field of jurisprudence and legal issues. They are capable of answering questions regarding Islamic laws; they can also provide legal consultancy to Muslims living in Islamic countries. The graduates also become lecturers in the field of Imamiye Jurisprudence and teach in universities.
