TRAINING COURSE

  • Definition:

  • The MA Contemporary Jurisprudence is a specialized program through which the participants learn the modules and over successful completion of the program they receive MA in the program.

  • Educational Goals and Policies:

  • Teaching the principles and basics of the jurisprudence of Islamic sects

  • Familiarizing students with the backgrounds of disputes and methods of reaching agreement in comprehension of jurisprudence and principles of Islamic law

  • Teaching students the viewpoints held exclusively by Imamiyeh sect

  • Familiarizing students with the superiority of Imamiye’s jurisprudence and principles of Islamic law regarding controversial issues

  • Familiarizing students with the drawbacks and advantages of the new and old sects

Importance and Necessity:

  • Attention to contemporary jurisprudence in a larger scale and tendency towards comparative arguments in Islamic sciences have been necessitated over time. Followings are the basic reasons for the necessity of expansion of Contemporary Jurisprudence:

  • Thorough understanding of jurisprudential issues in Shiite can not be achieved without attention to other sects’ jurisprudence. Once facing with individuals of other sects, one can not defend and argue with them defensibly.

  • Through Contemporary Jurisprudence the weak points and strengths become clarified and a powerful and defensible jurisprudential system can be founded according to the weak points and strengths.

  • By understanding Jurisprudence in its contemporary model, we can enter into arguments with other jurisprudential sects, otherwise we will not have a common language understandable and acceptable for both sides

  • Today and with ever increasing developments in the mass media such as satellite and so forth, the contemporary arguments have increased in importance. The today world is like a village for the people in which everyone can communicate with the others very easily.

  • The participants of this program are the non-Iranians and the majority of them come from countries whose residents are mostly not the Shiite and they won’t be able to disseminate and answer the questions without knowledge of Contemporary Jurisprudence.

  • The Contemporary Jurisprudence is in fact a proper groundwork for the achievement of the best word; i.e. as mentioned in the Quran: ‘’Fa Basher Ebad Al-Ladin Yastame’una Al-Qol Fa Yattabe’una Ahsanah’’ (Surah Zomar, verses: 17, 18).
